Time Travel is Possible

I flew across the international Dateline and have always  thought that it followed the 180th degree meridian. Not true. It zig zags in spots.

There are two islands in the Bering Sea who are separated by the IDL. They are only 3.8 km apart. Big Diomede is a Russian Possession, Little Diomede is owned by the US. When the water freezes, it’s the only time one can walk between the two countries.

Crossing the IDL going east decreases the date by one day, crossing westbound increases the date. Big D is called Tomorrow Island and Little D is referred to Yesterday Island. So I can walk backwards or forwards in time between the two islands by 21 hours each way. Don’t know why it’s not 24 hours ?????Of course Daylight Savings Time changes that 21 hour time frame. Is there a Dr Who telephone box on the islands?
